Social Enterprise of the Day:
Allesley Park Community CentreAllesley Park Commmunity Centre is a multi-purpose community centre providing classes in healthy living, arts and IT. They have a fully equiped IT room with cybercafe facilities which are used by the local residents and to deliver training courses.
The centre has an out-of-school club and out door play facilities for the pre-school which are suitable for disabled children to use as all the centre has full disabled access and toilet facilities. There is a Rainbow Club for girls prior to joining the Guides.
The centre runs arts and crafts groups that produce items for sale at summer fetes, and they have targeted activities for older residents, including a bowls group. The centre runs language classes in French and Spanish which attract learners from the wider area.
The library bus makes a regular two hour stop and there is extensive community space with rooms available for hire by local organisations.
